The Mo’Hits era is over; at least, it’s now very
safe to say so.
The label’s former owners are already
trudging ahead (D’banj moving on to establish his very
own label DB Records, signing his younger
brother Kay Switch whileother acts Wande
Coal, Dr SID and D’prince have
since pitched their tents with Don Jazzy who has also set up his own label MAVIN Records).
With the spoils shared, every other
property associated with the union seems to be going under.And the
Mo’Hits website; the platform which served as an online portal to
showcase the labels acts as well as
disseminate press releases, music
and videos, has been shutdown.
Visitors to the website
(www.mohitsrecords.com), are greeted with the message ‘Moved. Mavin
Records is the new home‘ and automatically redirected to the newly
created Mavin Records website.
D’banj has also setup his personal
website (www.dbanjofficial.com) right after he announced his signing with Mercury Records UK.
