Didier Drogba makes the trip to Spain despite injury concerns
Didier Drogba is to travel to Barcelona with Chelsea on Monday evening for their Champions League semi-final second leg clash at the Nou Camp. Drogba missed Saturday's Premier League match at the Emirates against Arsenal with a knee injury, but it is possible he could feature in what is undoubtedly the biggest game of Chelsea's season.
Drogba is reported to have taken part in a training session and his return would no doubt be a massive boost to Roberto Di Matteo's men. The Ivorian scored the only goal in the first leg against the Catalan giants, and his shot was the only one the Blues managed to hit the target with during the course of the game.
With Fernando Torres still struggling to find the form he is capable of, Drogba's inclusion could be make or break for the side should he be fit. The game carries added importance for Chelsea, especially as their hopes of a fourth place finish are by no means guaranteed.
Di Matteo's side sit four points adrift of fourth place, and not only would success in the Champions League be a massive statement in their mission to be the best club side in the world, it would mean their league position had no bearing on their appearance in the competition next season.
