President Joyce Banda,
who was elected the first female president of Malawa just last month
following the death of President Bingu wa Mutharika, said today that
her government will overturn the country's ban on homosexuality, the
first African country to do so since 1994. That's her plan, whether she
will get parliamentary support remains to be seen.
In Malawi,
homosexuality is punishable by 14 years in prison.
CAN YOU GUYS SEE WHY WOMEN SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED IN HIGHER POST?
thanks to lindaikeji for the news.
