The Bulgarian has had limited
opportunities this season, falling behind Danny Welbeck and Javier
Hernandez in the pecking order, creating speculation of a summer move.
His contract was due to expire this summer, although United reserve
the option to extend it by a further year, and Ferguson appears
determined to get some sort of return on the £30.75 million paid to
Tottenham back in 2008.
The Scot told The People: "We won't be letting him go for nothing."
The Red Devils boss also confirmed that older pros Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes will still be key to the first team next season.
"Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs will be here next year and, unless someone makes an offer we want for Berbatov, he will, too."
