Burning fuel tankers consume 17 houses, livestock on Abuja-Kaduna Road

No fewer than 17 houses, a mosque and chickens were consumed in an inferno caused by fallen petrol tankers at Gangari village on the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway on saturday afternoon.
The spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, Yushau Shuaibu, said in an SMS that the incident was caused by “wrong parking.”
He said the drivers of the tankers ran away although there was no loss of life.
He stated that NEMA, the police, fire fighters, and volunteers deployed personnel in the area swiftly to put out the fire.
