The Northern Irish defender had picked up a knock that ruled him out of Monday's Manchester derby, while the England international had to leave the Etihad Stadium on crutches after being tackled clumsily by Nigel De Jong during the game.
Despite some reports suggesting that Welbeck would be out of contention for Euro 2012, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson insisted that this would not be the case.
He told United's official website: "He will be ready for Sunderland [United's final game of the season]."
He also noted that Evans was "improving a bit," but would not be ready to face Brendan Rodgers' side at the weekend.
Sir Alex may be anticipating a tough game at Old Trafford, after praising Swansea's determination to play stylish football, and the results it has garnered.
He added: "The way Swansea have played this season has been admirable.
"I went to see them last weekend. They want to play football. The manager has stuck by his principles and they've had a fantastic season."
